DIY: Lace Shorts

I know I've been talking a lot about lace and crochet shorts but I seriously can't get enough of them! I recently found a pair of white eyelet shorts on sale at my local Delia's (random find, I know!). I like them but they still weren't exactly what I was looking for. However, I saw this easy DIY on Honestly...WTF style blog this week and decided to spruce up my shorts.

The Inspiration:

Here's hoping I can find the time to actually complete this project! I think these could be really cute with black tights & a blazer come fall!

SJP in Vogue August 2011

Sarah Jessica Parker graces the cover of Vogue's August 2011 issue and the spread is FABULOUS. SJP never disappoints and the fashion is right on point. Although her life may be very different from her Sex and the City character Carrie, I can still sense a little "Bradshaw" in her.

DIY: Bleached Denim Shirt

the Dries Van Noten way
the DIY way

The Steps:

- get an old denim button down from your local vintage shop.
- wet the sleeves to the elbow in your sink.
- soak the wet sleeves in clorox bleach and let them sit overnight.
- by morning, the sleeves should be white and dry.
TIP: the longer the bleach sits, the whiter the sleeves will be!

DONE!
